Pledge Update
We needed $780,000 to move ahead with the Sanctuary other renovations and more than $939,000 in pledges were announced Sunday morning.
Looking Ahead
BY FAITH, Morning Star Lutheran Church is ready to grow again! Morning Star got its start 235 years ago in 1775 in a log building close to the Mathews-Mint Hill and Idlewild intersection just down the street from the current location. The congregation grew and in 1906 the Morning Star Lutheran Chapel was built to meet that need. More growth in the 1950s and the church relocated to its current location. The growth didn’t stop there. As the congregation continued to grow, the church grew with expansions in the 1970s, 1980s and in 2001. Now, we move forward with the vision of constructing yet another worship facility for this vibrant congregation. This new facility will provide a place for all who worship at Morning Star Lutheran Church to worship in a sacred space.
